May 2022 Minutes Annual Parish Council Meeting

Minutes of the Dunston Parish Council Meeting Held on Monday 9th May 2022

Present: Cllrs McLuckie (Chair), Armstrong, Churchward, Duncan, Pellew, Phillipson, Treece.

In attendance: Clerk to Council and 1 member of the public.

Chairman’s welcome and announcements.

Chairman opens the meeting and welcomes everyone to the meeting which followed directly on from the Annual Parish Meeting which had been very well attended. 

Council Session

To receive apologies and accept valid reasons of absence:

Received from Cllrs Lamyman and Moore and NKDC Cllr Maplethorpe.

1.   To receive members’ declarations of disposable pecuniary, non-disclosable pecuniary or non-pecuniary interests in relation to any agenda item.

2.   Cllr McLuckie was re-elected as Chairman.

3.   Cllr Moore was re-elected as Vice Chairman.

Action: AP PM

4.   The minutes of the previous meeting – 11th April 2022 were agreed as a true record.

5.    Reports from Lincolnshire County Cllr Rob Kendrick and NKDC Cllr Bailey had been given at the Parish Meeting.

6.   Report from the Village Keeper: 

The polystyrene building waste litter from the Metheringham building site had been raised with NKDC.

7.   Highway matters:

The Speed Gates project is still in progress.

8.   Environment issues: 

The track to the playing field car park is known to be in poor repair.

9.   Queen’s Platinum Jubilee:

   A proposed programme of events had been distributed to some villagers.    

10.    Village Hall matters – no new information

11.   Financial matters:

Still under review but sub-contracting the payroll to Simon Moss was agreed unanimously.

A payment of £100 to the previous clerk in lieu of wages was agreed.

12.   A tractor rally was being organized by Peter Harding for 12th June and permission was agreed for use of the playing field car park to unload any trailers used to transport them to Dunston. Weather and ground conditions being suitable the Village Green could also be available.
