Minutes of the Dunston Parish Council Meeting - Monday 12th June 2023
Present: Cllrs McLuckie, Pellew, Duncan, Lamyman, Armstrong, Moore, Phillipson. Clerk to Council and one member of the public.

23055 To receive apologies and accept valid reasons of absence:
Received from Cllr Treece.
23056 To receive members’ declarations of disposable pecuniary, non-disclosable pecuniary or non-pecuniary interests in relation to any agenda item.
Action: None
23057 The minutes of the previous meeting on 17th May 2023 were agreed as a true record.
23058 A report from the Village Hall Management Committee was received and discussed. No new information on the sewer works was available.
23059 It was agreed that the play equipment in the playground was all in a satisfactory state of repair and the next routine inspection is scheduled to take place in August. The grass surface throughout the whole field remains a matter of concern. The grass cutting contractor is to be asked to attend to cut the grass on the playing field as soon as possible.

23060 The repair to the playing surface by the goalmouth was provisionally scheduled for 22nd/23rd Jun weather permitting.

23061 It was resolved to contact Dyson Farming to seek assistance to water the new hedge whilst the current weather continues.

23062 It was agreed that LCC would be asked to improve the access to the Dunston-Nocton bridleway by cutting back the hedge and approach Dyson Farming if unsuccessful.

23063 Two invoices and 2 salaries were agreed for payment.

23064 The Annual Governance Statement for FY 22/23 was discussed and it was resolved that it should be signed in accordance with the instructions from the External Auditor issued on the Final Certificate for FY 21/22.

23065 It was resolved to accept the Accounting Statements FY22/23

23066 Councillors were asked to consult with members of the community about village improvements in readiness for a discussion of financial priorities this year.
