Dunston Parish Council
Minutes of the Dunston Parish Council Meetng Held on Monday 9th January 2023
Present: Cllrs McLuckie (Chair), Lamyman, Pellew, Duncan, Armstrong, Philipson, Treece. Clerk to Council and 4 members of the public.
The meeting commenced with a presentation given by the respective chairmen of the Bowls and Croquet clubs. A discussion chaired by Cllr Duncan (to prevent any possibility of a conflict of interest arising) followed and Cllr Duncan undertook to write to the parties concerned with the decisions of the Council.

23001 To receive apologies and accept valid reasons of absence:
Received from Cllr Moore, NKDC Cllr Bailey and LCC Cllr Kendrick.
23002 To receive members’ declarations of disposable pecuniary, non-disclosable pecuniary or non-pecuniary interests in relation to any agenda item. No changes
23003 The minutes of the previous meeting on 14th November 2022 were agreed as a true record.
23004 It was resolved to advertise the vacancy on the PC caused by the resignation of Cllr Churchward.

23005 It was resolved to migrate Cllrs email addresses to a ”.gov.uk” address and the best quotation had been submitted by Cloud Next.

23006 The Village Keepers report was heard and the issue of ploughing over public footpaths was discussed.
23007 Incentives to encourage attendance at the hedge planting weekend of 4/5 March were discussed. A possibility of providing hot catering at lunch time to be costed.

23008 It was resolved to contact Dyson/Beeswax about the proposed repair to the playing field car park access drive and the damaged picnic table. Spare parts for the repair to the Rocking Horse were confirmed to be on order. It was resolved to order 2 picnic tables for the play equipment area.

23009 A bank reconciliation to the end of the calendar year was presented. It was confirmed that all monies loaned to Metheringham Parish Council had been returned in full. The Precept for the year 23/24 was agreed for submission to NKDC.
