Minutes of the Dunston Parish Council Meeting - Monday 13th Oct 2025
Present: Cllrs McLuckie, Lamyman, Phillipson, Pellew, Craig, Armstrong and Treece. Clerk to the council, the Village Hall Manager and 1 member of the public. 
Public session A request for the job number for the telephone cable repair at Blairgowrie was received but unfortunately no such number had ever been available to the PC.
Council Session 
25096 Apologies for absence: nil but Cllr Longmate had resigned with immediate effect because of other commitments. It was agreed we would pass on our thanks for the commitment he had made and that he would be welcome back in the future should his circumstances allow.
25096 To receive members’ declarations of interests in relation to any agenda item. Nil received.
25097 The minutes of the previous meeting were agreed as a true record and signed by the Chair.
25098 The scope of the required tree survey should be limited to just those trees on PC land. GA
25099 The resignation of Cllr Longmate will be reported to NKDC and the 2 vacancies on the PC will be advertised. TB
25100 The contact numbers in the Emergency Plan need to be updated to reflect recent changes in personnel and the updated leaflets should be distributed to all village residents. Going forward the leaflet could be included in the welcome pack currently given to new village residents.           AC RM TB EH
25101 The Beck bank repair at Blairgowrie should be removed as it is potentially an obstruction to the free flow of water in times high flow. BL RM TB
25102 The fence round the playing field is deteriorating further. It was resolved to try to use some reinforcing posts to prevent it collapsing. All
25103 It had been suggested that a leaf blower could be a useful tool to keep the car park clear of leaves; Cllr Treece agreed to lend one to enable a trial to take place. LT
25104 It was agreed that the pc laptop should be upgraded professionally to windows 11 as Microsoft are due to stop all support for windows 10 imminently. TB
25105 A Christmas tree is to be purchased and erected before 20th Dec when the Carol singing event is scheduled. The VH is to be decorated for Christmas and on 28th Nov the allocation of decorations and lights is to be resolved.  Volunteers welcome. The mechanism for lighting the Christmas tree lights is to be determined. All 
25106 It was resolved to increase the clerk’s salary to £13.75 per hour with effect from     1st April 2025. TB
The next Parish Council meeting will take place at 1900 on Monday 10th November.
