Minutes of the Dunston Parish Council Meeting - Monday 8th Apr 2024
Present: Cllrs McLuckie, Duncan, Armstrong, Pellew, Rankin, Treece, LCC Cllr Kendrick and Clerk to the council.

24056 Apologies for absence: Cllrs Lamyman and Phillipson.
24057 To receive members’ declarations of disposable pecuniary, non-disclosable pecuniary or non-pecuniary interests in relation to any agenda item.
No Changes
24058 The minutes of the meeting on 11th March were agreed as a true record.

24059 A budget of £50 for refreshments for the Annual Parish Meeting on 13th May was agreed and the format will be retained as that of last year. The invitations to all participants are to be sent without delay.

24060 The radar speed sign has been returned to the supplier for repair. The order of a second radar speed sign has been postponed until the first one has been found to be working satisfactorily.

24061 The proposal to mount a shipping container beside the village hall was found to be impractical so a concrete prefabricated building has been ordered and work on the footings has started.

24062 It was resolved not to replace the collapsed wooden pedestrian gate into the play area but just to block the entrance. The gate has been removed from the asset register.

24063 It was agreed to investigate the cost of installing a hearing loop for the village hall to make the facility more inclusive.

24064 It was resolved to proceed with the improvements to the village hall heating system.

24065 The proposed visit to the quarry would be arranged for a convenient date in the near future.

24066 A budget of up to £300 would be made available towards the cost of providing food at a function on either 6th or 8th June to commemorate the D-Day landings.

24067 A tax payment to HMRC and 3 invoices were approved. The end of year account was submitted to the PC and the Asset Register as at 31 March 2024 was reviewed.
