Apologies for absence: Cllr Treece.
No declarations of interest were declared.
The Cllr Craig objected to the minutes from the meeing in July because there was no mention of his receipt of an award at the Lincolnshire Show. It was agreed to correct the omission.
The Chairman outlined the projects still to be completed during the current financial year. The bridge repair is being done currently and the drain work on Front Street had been reported, verbally to the clerk, as being completed. The cemetery extension had been fenced and, partly as a result of the feedback from the consultation meeting in August and various emails from parishioners, the project was being re-examined. ALL
The Clerk reported that HAGS had delayed their retensioning of the cableway at the playground because of a late arrival of replacement parts. National Grid had been in contact as a new electricity sub-station is required in the vicinity of the playing field. A suitable site had been agreed with members of the PC and an offer of £4000 for the land had been received by the Clerk. All legal costs would be born by National Grid. It was agreed that these terms were acceptable and the Clerk was authorised to pass details of the PC’s solicitors to enable the purchase to proceed. TB
A quote of £11000 had been received to fit another goal unit identical to the existing one. The quote was not accepted as it was thought too expensive. TB
The Clerk had been asked to contact NKDC about the cracked wall outside Hall’s Court. NKDC Asset Management had replied and stated that they were monitoring the wall as part of their normal programme.
The Village Keeper’s report was submitted to the PC.
A report on the trees at the cemetery written by Mr Clay from NKDC Tree Services was presented to and accepted by the PC.
It was agreed to pay for the materials to mend the broken concrete bench in the grounds of the village hall. PP TB
The PC finances were reviewed and the current position and reserves thought satisfactory.
