May 2026 Minutes Annual Parish Meeting
Annual Parish Meeting - 11th May 2026
The 2026 Annual Parish Meeting was held at 18.30 in the Lamyman Room of the Dunston Village Hall. Present were approximately 43 members of the public, LCC Cllr Kendrick and NKDC Cllr Parry.
The meeting commenced with a welcome from the current chairman (R. McLuckie) during which he gave a brief introduction to the purpose and requirement for an Annual Parish Meeting.
He followed with a resume of the structure, the finances and the achievements of the Parish Coun-cil over the previous year and outlined some of the projects being planned.
Cllr Kendrick spoke about the activities of Lincolnshire County Council, Cllr Parry then addressed the roles of North Kesteven District Council.
Ms Emma Toulson spoke about St Peter’s School and the Spires Federation.
The following village organisations were introduced to the assembly, and invited to speak:
The Village Hall and Post Office - Lucy Rankin.
Churches Together and Lunch Club - Sue Glaister.
The Twinning association - Ros Treadwell.
Knit and Natter and the Bowls Club - Russ McLuckie.
The Gardening Club - Sue Enmarch.
The Book Club and Book Exchange Phone Box - Jane Tuxworth.
The Sewing Bee - Jean Ford.
The Art Club - Margaret Smith.
The speaker about the mini-athletics group cancelled his appearance.
Speakers for the Red Lion Public House and U3A did not attend.
The meeting closed at 20.00 to be followed by the Annual Parish Council Meeting.
